Chamomile tea improves sleep quality and depression in postnatal women

Camomile and TeaIn a study of 80 Taiwanese postnatal women with poor sleep quality, those who drank chamomile tea for a period of 2 weeks had significantly lower scores of sleep inefficiency and symptoms of depression. The authors conclude ‘Chamomile tea may be recommended to postpartum women as a supplementary approach to alleviating depression and sleep quality problems’.
